About Us

Our Story

Established in 1973, The Valley Inn Restaurant has been a cherished gathering place in Palos Hills, just 25 minutes south of downtown Chicago. For over five decades, we’ve proudly served authentic Italian American cuisine with a touch of family tradition.

Founded by Frank and Faye Ristucci, what began as a humble pizza parlor quickly grew into a beloved neighborhood restaurant. To this day, the Ristucci family remains dedicated to creating an inviting atmosphere where the community can enjoy great food, drinks, and good company.

Known for having the best fried chicken, The Valley also offers a full menu of homemade pastas, classic Italian dishes, American favorites, and creative specialties you won’t find elsewhere.

Whether it’s a weekday or weekend, come join us for heartwarming homemade soups and handcrafted homestyle dishes, “just like your grandma used to make,” bringing comfort and tradition to every meal.

We take great pride in offering a welcoming family dining experience at a reasonable price. Whether you’re dining in, ordering carryout, or hosting an event with our catering service, The Valley Inn remains a place where great food and great company come together.

Valley Inn Through the Years

Valley Inn has been a part of Palos Hills history for over five decades, and we love looking back on how it all started. Here are a few highlights from our journey:

1973 – Frank & Faye Ristau open a small pizza parlor that quickly becomes a neighborhood favorite.
1985 – Our fried chicken gains a reputation as the best in town—and it still holds true today!
2000 – We expand, adding more seating and a menu full of comfort food favorites.
Present Day – Still family-owned, still serving up delicious food with a side of nostalgia.
